OFX vs Wise — which is better?

For transfers under £1,000–2,000: Wise is usually better. Wise uses the mid-market rate with a transparent fee, and on smaller amounts its fixed + percentage fee structure is competitive. OFX's minimum transfer amount means it's not an option for very small transfers anyway.

For transfers above £5,000: OFX is often competitive with or better than Wise. No fees and improving margins at larger amounts mean the all-in cost can be lower. The 24/7 phone access to dealers is also valuable when timing larger transfers around exchange rate movements.

Always compare both on the day you want to transfer — rates change constantly.
